It was a GORGEOUS day here, so we decided to take a field trip to the zoo. We packed our lunch and in honor of visiting the animals, we went with animal chicken nuggets. Okay, they're really dinosaurs, but who says they can't be a rhino and a kangaroo or something (squint your eyes and you'll agree). Oh, and by the way...we LOVE our new bento box set. Check them out here! http://www.laptoplunches.com/
Zoo Bento - baked animal chicken nuggets, banana, alphabet pretzels, celery and PB, and rice krispy treat

I love your blog! I feel like most of our lunches at home are a version of a Bento box but with a lot less fun and creativity! But you have inspired me! Today my 2 girls had my version of a bento box lunch (not sure the rules of being bento). It included ham roll ups (we don't use a lot of bread in our house since Claire has Celiac Disease), cheese cut up in the shape of hearts, tortilla chips (which you can substitute for crackers or pretzels), and a fruit, yogurt, and granola parfait. I used raspberries as my fruit and stuck them in a blender to chop them up a bit. The girls liked it and it was fun! Also, a great idea for school lunches! Thanks for the inspiration!
